This ute came to us from the panel shop, we pulled the engine out so they could paint the engine bay, whilst it was out the owner asked us to work the motor. We had the simple plan of replacing the heads, camshaft, inlet manifold and carby, along with a new exhaust.
It arrived at our shop, very dirty but with a freshly rebuilt motor that needed to go a bit faster.
After we pulled the heads off and found that the engine was no good we sourced a new block and started again, all new arp bolts and studs, new pistons, edelbrock aluminium heads, crane cam and roller rockers, come racing manifold and holley carburettor.

Full stainless steel exhaust with Varex mufflers with hidden motors make this go from quiet to super loud at the push of a button.
Side shot of the motor shows the stainless steel headersand the high volume oil sump.

Almost finished, just off for a test drive.
The engine in and running, being kept cool by a PWR alloy radiator

Whilst it was here we fitted new carpets, seats and a ratchet shifter. repaired the dash and the wiring and got it ready for the road.
