Greg’s Audi S3 car we prepared for his 2017 season of Tarmac rally. Very happy with how the car performed in the first round with Greg steering it to a class win and 26th overall on a weekend where not every car made it out in one piece.
Greg dropped the car off barely running with a hatchback full of parts:

With new turbo dump pipe, Sachs performance flywheel and clutch, new gearbox, heavy duty shift forks and lsd, Porsche caliper big brake kit, new cross drilled rotors and Ebc yellow stuff pads.
We started with the basics and got the car running correctly, the camshaft timing was out a tooth so once we corrected that the car ran perfectly then on to the more difficult things. We pulled apart the brand new gearbox and fitted the lsd. The shift forks didn’t fit, but that was no surprise. With a bit of drilling and machining we soon had the gearbox sorted and after fitting the motorsport clutch and flywheel we fitted the newly upgraded gearbox and repaired the c/v. Whilst the gearbox was out we also fitted the new exhaust dump pipe and replaced the turbo coolant lines.
Next was the brakes:
The rear brakes were a breeze, just remove the old, clean the surfaces and fit the new EBC yellow stuff pads and cross drilled rotors. The fronts were a fair bit more work, the Porsche big brake kit wasn’t designed for the massive 2 piece rotor we were fitting so we had to machine the new caliper carrier to clear the wheels and create spacers to give the caliper enough clearance from the rotor. Just when we thought it was ready we found that the pads didn’t fit either so we had to machine them for clearance as well. Once we finally had all of this bolted up it was time for a road test and these brakes were awesome!

A few more maintenance issues and some fine tuning and she was ready to race.
