HK Holden

Geoff brought his HK to us after it had been sitting for over 20 years. We got it running again and rebuilt his transmission and suspension and helped him get it registered.

After driving it a little Geoff asked us to make it go, corner and stop. We came up with a plan, we got a Rodtech IFS front end and fitted Alcon six piston brakes. We fitted a Sniper efi module and Hyperspark ignition system to his old 307 Chev which really woke it up. But that wasn’t enough, so we ordered a new Dart block and started again, building him a 427ci small block with AFR heads.

Whilst we were building the engine we ordered a Tremec TKX and conversion kit from Mal Wood and sent the body off for chassis work and a 4 link rear end. We fitted a 9 inch with floater axles and 4 piston Alcon brakes.

Once back from the chassis shop we tidied up the engine bay, fitted the new engine with PWR radiator and gearbox and got everything running before sending it off to Speedcraft to have the exhaust built.

More to come….
